before we begin

I will need all your content (text, photos, links, assets) before the design process begins.

Allow plenty of prep time to get all the content ready for me making sure you’ve got everything you want to include in the project ready to go.

You can share all of this with me through a google drive that I will share with you after this proposal/contract is finalized.

the design process

We will begin your project by meeting together to talk through the information I’ve sent over as well as what will be needed from you. We will also discuss design and strategy for the project (Pulling together inspiring websites or design elements you are drawn to is helpful in this process.)

Then, I will present the design to you in two design presentations where you will have opportunities to request edits and changes.

revisions + training

Please get me a bulleted list of your edits within two business days of our design presentation meetings so that I can start working on your revisions.

I want to hear your honest feedback so that I can create a website that will work as a tool for your business and art practice and a design you’re going to love.

After the design is completed we will have a training meeting where I will walk you through everything you need to know in order to take over your website with confidence.

Here is the step-by-step breakdown of the creative process:

  1. Choose the package that works for you 

  2. I send over the paperwork (50% deposit invoice and contract)

  3. Collect content and inspiration (your homework)

  4. Complete design and business info questionnaire 

  5. I create a style guide for your site 

  6. Page building (home, about, contact, and other pages)

  7. Design Presentation #1: I present the initial design to you and collect any feedback or revision you would like to make

  8. Design Presentation #2 finalization of design, and any final edits.

  9. SEO walkthrough and mobile optimization

  10. Purchase subscription

  11. ⭐️Site Launch⭐️

  12. Training and hand off meeting: I walk you through the finished site and we discuss any tutorials you may need in the handoff 

  13. Final invoice

FAQs

  • I usually like to take time with my designs to make sure that I’m producing the highest quality I am capable of. This means that a website can take anywhere between 1-4 months to complete.

  • My process is consult, create and connect.

    1. Consult: This is the discovery period where I am learning more about you, conducting research about your industry, and tailoring my process to your specific needs.

    2. Create: This is the fun bit where I get to play around with the design elements that we agree upon and come up with a design I think you’ll love.

    3. Connect: The last part of the process is where I share my work with you in two design presentations where you have the opportunity to give feedback and request changes.

  • The fee to purchase a Squarespace subscription range from $14/month - $49/month depending on which plan you choose. There is also the custom domain fee which will give you a unique URL address, these are typically between $0-$50 annually.

  • Squarespace is my personal recommendation for a website platform. It is super user-friendly, and there is great help center and forum where you can ask questions and learn more about what is possible on Squarespace.

    I am a Squarespace Circle member which means I can give you 20% off your first year for any new website subscription. Who doesn’t love a discount?

  • My process is very collaborative. We will be working closely together to insure that you love how your new website looks.

  • Yes. Your website is designed to be self-sufficient and straightforward, so that you, the client, will be able to take back over & manage the site's content without any help. If you do need additional help, I am available via email or phone, and will create custom video tutorials for you as needed.
